First Baptist Church has not celebrated a pastoral retirement since 1975, when the Rev. Dr. David R. Hedgley retired after 30 years of faithful ministry. Spiritual longevity has its value here at First Baptist.
Rev. Pettiford will be recognized during our Morning Worship Service on Sunday, August 30, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. A reception will follow this service in the David R. Hedgley Fellowship Hall.
You can honor Rev. Pettiford with thoughtful greeting cards and, if you choose, monetary gifts. If you’d like to write a check, however, all love offerings must be written directly to Rev. Pettiford and not to First Baptist.
