Grief and Bereavement Workshop on Saturday, January 24

The Lay Caregivers Ministry is extending an invitation to a Grief and Bereavement Workshop conducted by Tara Sessoms, LCMHC, on Saturday, January 24, at 10:00 a.m. in the Family Life Center.

Tara Sessoms

Tara is a director at the Baptist Children’s Home, Inc. She is a licensed mental health counselor serving the field of mental health for 27 years. She is a graduate of East Coast Bible College with two master’s degrees in counseling from Lee University, Cleveland, Tennessee and Webster University, St. Louis, Missouri.

This workshop is designed to help our church family understand and respond to loss in a Christ-centered way and to explore biblical perspectives on grief. This gathering will offer a safe, respectful space for learning, reflection, and quiet presence-without pressure to share.

Whether you are personally grieving, walking alongside someone who is, or seeking to grow in compassion and understanding, you are welcome.

Please join us as we learn how to extend Christ’s comfort with patience, humility, and love.
