Service of Remembrance on Sunday, December 18 (December 18, 2022)

We will observe a “Service of Remembrance” for those church members that we have lost from January 2020 until December 2022 on Sunday, December 18, 2022. This service will be held immediately following our Morning Worship Service.

Your Donations toward the 2022 CROP Hunger Walk Fundraiser! (November 5, 2022)

Thanks to everyone who donated to the 2022 CROP Hunger Walk Fundraiser and came out to the event on Sunday, October 16!

With your help, First Baptist Church donated $3,325.00 toward this year’s effort to combat the problem of hunger in the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Community!

Caregivers Spring 2022 Project (June 28, 2022)

The Lay Ministry of Caregivers conducted its Spring Outreach Project in April 2022 with Senior Services Inc. of Winston-Salem and Forsyth County.

We would like to congratulate Tavis Garlington, son of John-Troy and Crystal Witherspoon, on his accomplishment at Hampton University!

Bible Study with Rev. Dr. Tony W. Barr, Sr. (February 10, 2022)

We were happy to have Rev. Dr. Tony W. Barr, Sr. of the General Baptist State Convention of North Carolina for Bible Study on Wednesday, February 9!

Tidwell Family Gift for Naming Opportunity at North Carolina Central University (January 29, 2022)

Some of our longtime members may remember the Tidwell Family: Isaiah, Hellena, DeVane, and Damion. The Tidwells have recently made the largest single contribution toward a naming opportunity for the new School of Business building at North Carolina Central University: the Isaiah Tidwell Accounting Program. Isaiah passed away in 2019.
